 YET another resort is slated to open on Chang Island this August, The Dewa Koh Chang on Klong Prao Beach.
The Dewa Koh Chang Resort, located on Klong Prao’s beachfront some 23 km from the west-coast ferry pier, is set to open 1 August. The property, spread over seven rai, features 40 deluxe rooms and 19 private beach villas
The 48-sqm Dewa Deluxe features a balcony and an open bathroom, while the 54-sqm Dewa Villas has a private outdoor sitting area.
 Two Grand Villas stand close to the beach, and feature in a two-floor layout a living space, bedroom and outdoor Jacuzzi and a recreational area overlooking the sea upstairs.
A spa offers Thai and aromatherapy massages, body treatments and beauty care. The resort also features a 54-metre black swimming pool, Internet café, bakery, and souvenir shop.
The resort will open with a single restaurant and bar.
From its opening until the end of October, the resort is offering an introductory rate of Bt 2,800 per night for the Deluxe rooms including buffet breakfast, a welcome drink and fruit platter.
The ferry service to Chang Island is located at Ao Thammachat Pier, with boats departing every 30 minutes from 0630 to 1900. Travel time is 30 minutes.
